CETME parts kit was a good deal

I was looking for a CETME parts kit and Apex had a pretty competitive price compared to other places I checked. I signed up for their newsletter, which got me a small discount on my first order. The kit arrived in about a week, and all the parts were there, no missing pieces. The quality was decent for surplus, exactly what I expected for the price. I felt like I got good value for my money, especially with the discount. Definitely worth it if you're trying to save a few bucks.

Got my M1 Garand parts, all good

I picked up some M1 Garand parts last week for a build I'm working on. The website was pretty easy to navigate, found what I needed without much trouble. Shipping took about 4 days to get to my place in Texas, which isn't too bad. Everything came packed well and the parts looked solid, no surprises. It was a good experience overall, felt pretty straightforward.

How fast do these guys ship? Need some stuff for a project this month, wondering if it'll get to me in, say, Ohio, before the 20th.

J Jacob Jones 1 week ago
From my experience, they're usually pretty quick. Ordered a few times to Florida and it always arrived within a week, maybe less. So Ohio should be fine.

Mine took about 5-7 business days to get to me in Texas last time. So you'd probably be pushing it for the 20th, but it's possible if they ship fast.

Anyone compared APEX to Numrich or Brownells for parts kits? Thinking about a FAL build.

N Nick Martinez 3 days ago
APEX is usually better for actual surplus kits. Numrich and Brownells might have more new production parts or specific brand stuff. For original mil-spec, APEX usually wins.

For surplus, APEX is typically my first stop. Numrich has a ton of stuff too, but APEX often has better pricing on the specific kits. Brownells is more for modern firearm parts.

Thinking of buying a kit, but what if something's wrong or I change my mind? What's their return policy like?

E Elizabeth T. 1 week ago
I returned a wrong magazine once, was pretty straightforward. Just contact them within 30 days and they'll sort you out. Just make sure it's in the same condition.

Returns are usually fine. Just don't wait too long, and make sure it's not some custom-cut part or anything. Standard stuff is easy to send back.

Anyone know if APEX does free shipping? Trying to save a few bucks on a larger order.

G Grace T. 1 week ago
Yeah, they do sometimes. Keep an eye out for their promotions, especially around holidays. Sometimes it's for orders over a certain amount.

P Paul Young 1 week ago
I've definitely seen free shipping deals pop up, especially if you get on their email list. Don't think it's always on though.

Are their military discount codes stackable with other sales, like a Black Friday deal? Or is it one or the other?

D Donna Mitchell 6 days ago
AFAIK, most places only let you use one code at checkout. So probably just one discount at a time.

L Lisa Flores 5 days ago
Yeah, usually it's just one coupon. Tried to combine a newsletter discount with a holiday sale once and it wouldn't let me. Sucks, but that's how it goes.

do they require an FFL for the parts kits? Or can I just order them straight to my house?

A Adam D. 2 weeks ago
Nope, not for most parts kits. They're just parts, not a complete firearm. No FFL needed unless you're buying a receiver or something serialized.

K Karen R. 1 week ago
You're good to go for parts kits. No FFL for those. Just keep state and local laws in mind for what you can actually build.

Hey, thinking about grabbing a parts kit for an AK build. Are these actually complete, or am I gonna get a box of random stuff missing half the bits?

J Jason N. 2 weeks ago
Nah, they're usually pretty solid. Got an UZI kit from them last year and everything important was there. You might need some small stuff like pins, but the main components are always there.
1
J Jeff H. 2 weeks ago
Depends on the kit, man. Always read the description carefully. Some say 'minus barrel' or 'no receiver'. Most of the time though, for a parts kit, it's pretty much all the core parts you'd expect.

Is APEX Gun Parts legit? Are their surplus parts actually original, or are they reproductions trying to pass as original?

R Richard N. 3 weeks ago
Oh yeah, APEX is totally legit. Been buying from them for years. Their stuff is genuine surplus, not cheap copies. That's kinda their thing.
3
J Jason Turner 3 weeks ago
100% legit. The descriptions usually tell you if it's new production vs. original surplus. I've always gotten exactly what was advertised.
